Studies done on organ transplants have found that people often take on the traits of the person the donor organ came from. If the donor was an alcoholic, the recipient often turns the alcoholism. If the donor was a kind and empathic and patient person and the recipient was cold, callous, and uncaring they took on the traits of the kind and empathic person becoming a better soul.

2 Corinthians 6:14 NIV

[14] Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 

In an agent of darkness you will find bad trees producing bad fruit: hate, despair, discord, impatience, cruelty, wickedness, and reckless abandon. It wears on the soul, and it is why you have to stay close to the Vine!  

John 8:44 NIV

[44] You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 

An agent of darkness will lie to themselves and lie to you because they are like their father the devil, because lying is his native tongue and so it is also the native tongue of his children. They also fail to realize that when they gossip and slander and testify falsely about others they're committing metaphysical murder. With Charlie Kirk we saw after he was assassinated millions of the agents of darkness coming online slandering his name, slandering his reputation. It was not enough that he was physically murdered; they had to metaphysically murder him proving they are the children of the devil.

The same is true spiritually, you can't claim to be close to the VIne Jesus, and be far from the other grafted in vines, being a gentile, and not a Jew. It is very healthy to be around branches producing good fruit: Love, joy, peace, patience/forbearance, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. This is why Christians should always marry Christians. This is not to say that if you were born again and your spouse is not a Christian that you should leave them. But you will find that you alone cannot change them, only in the constant bearing of the fruit of the spirit and praying and fasting for them will let God change them. 

paraclatos/parakletos - counselor/comforter are poor translations - NT GREEK - One who comes alongside to help - imagery is of a parent holding a toddler's hand and helping their child learn to walk. This is what Jesus promised grown men he chose as his disciples when he promised he would not leave them as orphans.

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. - John 15 NIV; 

When we die the Holy Spirit, that Heavenly Parent, the Spirit of Yeshua - Yahweh is Salvation living in us and sharing all of life, so that Jesus' suffering did not end on the cross, but is shared in the life of every believer, which is why he could tell the sheep and goats at the judgment, "What you did to the least of these my brothers & sisters, you did also to me!" This Holy Spirit does not even leave us in death, in fact the Holy Spirit does for us what we cannot do for ourselves, takes our hands, and leads us across the River Jordan, so that the river of death, will not sweep us away to Hell, and the Spirit walks us to the new shores of Eternity, to the New Heaven (new universe) and new earth, where in the House of Yahweh, there are many or rooms enough for all! 

Only those born anew/born again of the Holy Spirit daily, can make such a journey across the River Jordan (river of death, of God's wrath that sweeps away the damned to Hell upon death) and to the new shores of Eternity, for no one comes to the Father excerpt through the Son, and if the Holy Spirit indwells with you as one, you have the Son, to bring you to the Father.

For Christians who are married there will be times when your spouse will stumble and fall in their walk with the Holy Spirit, but this is where you mimic the Holy Spirit in nurturing them to a better state instead of being their adversary you also become their advocate. 

When interviewed Ruth Graham was asked if she ever thought of leaving Billy Graham, she was honest and said no but there were days she thought about murdering him. Ruth Graham did not let the desires of the flesh win out and lead her to bear bad fruit, instead she became the advocate Billy Graham needed to help them both grow in the fruit of the spirit.

It is notable in the case of organ donor transplants changing the lives of their recipients that what Jesus said was true, Heaven is within you.

It is a mission of mercy and judgment to live as salt and light, because before we were born again we were also agents of darkness, lost and dying without Jesus. When Jesus called us to be born again he did not call us to riches, to wealth, to fame, to what the world lusts after, He called us to pick up a cross and to follow him, realizing that in suffering, the fruit of the spirit would grow and shed the light of his eternal love and sacrifice to a lost and dying world, but in the end it is about choice because unfortunately we have seen the prodigals who knew the gospel and chose to reject it, and likewise for those on the hard path robbed of the seed of the Holy Spirit, those who are choked off by the lustful weeds, or who fade in the shallow of rocky soil. They will never choose Jesus but for the broken in the world in whom the grace of God can be planted and grow there becomes a bountiful harvest that we rejoice in with Jesus as he prepares his Church for the end of time and for eternity with him.

John the beloved was the only disciple to not run away from Jesus when he was taken to his crucifixion! In 1993 

/1994 when I was teaching a junior high Sunday school class with children ages 11 to 13. I told them that John the beloved was believed to be maybe only 12 years old when he started following Jesus. Jesus's ministry in reality was not 3 years but rather eight years with his disciples. So Jesus was very much a father figure to the young John the beloved, and why John reclined against his chest at the last supper. So John was 20 years old when Jesus was taken to the cross. 

My lesson to my young Christian class was to not let people look down on them because of their faith and their age because John the beloved was as young as they were. 

In 2009 I got a friend request on Facebook from one of my students who is now a pastor at a church and he said, "I never forgot what you taught me about John the beloved!"

Even an atheist can understand the gospel after hearing this little sermon I created when they shut down all the Churches in 2020. You can even understand clearly how to share the gospel after hearing this little Holy Week sermon.

Jesus came to call the lost; every born again Saint is called from darkness to light, they were wretches saved by grace, because if works righteousness could have saved us Jesus never needed to come and die for sinners. Salvation is by faith not by works, but a close walk with the Holy Spirit will display works that manifest the fruit of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. A bad tree (human) will manifest the antithesis of the fruit of the Spirit.
